Getting Started

How do I create my first task?

Creating tasks in Daily Reset is simple and intuitive:

  1. Tap the "+" button on the main screen
  2. Type your task using natural language (e.g., "Call dentist tomorrow at 2pm")
  3. Our AI will automatically detect dates, times, and priority keywords
  4. Add any additional notes or set a specific priority if needed
  5. Tap "Save" and your task will be added to your list

The app automatically prioritizes your tasks using the Eisenhower Matrix, so you'll see the most important ones at the top of your daily list.

What is the Daily Reset feature?

Daily Reset is our core feature that gives you a fresh start every day. Here's how it works:

  • Morning Curation: Each morning, our AI analyzes all your tasks and selects 3-5 high-impact items for your daily focus
  • Smart Prioritization: Tasks are ranked using the Eisenhower Matrix (Urgent vs Important)
  • Achievable Goals: We limit your daily list to ensure you can actually complete everything
  • Clean Slate: Incomplete tasks are automatically re-evaluated for the next day

This approach helps you focus on what truly matters rather than getting overwhelmed by endless to-do lists.

Do I need to create an account?

You can use Daily Reset without an account for local-only task management. However, creating an account unlocks:

  • Cloud sync across all your devices
  • Automatic backup of your tasks
  • Advanced AI features and personalization
  • Progress tracking and analytics
  • Premium subscription features

Creating an account requires only an email address and takes less than a minute.

Task Prioritization

How does the AI prioritization work?

Our AI uses the proven Eisenhower Matrix framework combined with natural language processing:

  • Urgent + Important: Critical tasks that need immediate attention (labeled as 🔥)
  • Important but Not Urgent: High-value tasks for long-term success (labeled as ⭐)
  • Urgent but Not Important: Tasks that can often be delegated or minimized
  • Neither Urgent nor Important: Tasks to eliminate or do later

The AI analyzes keywords like "ASAP," "urgent," "important," "deadline," along with due dates and context to automatically categorize your tasks.

Can I manually adjust task priorities?

Absolutely! While our AI provides intelligent suggestions, you have full control:

  • Tap any task to edit its priority level
  • Drag tasks to reorder them within your daily list
  • Mark tasks as "Do Today" to force them into your daily focus
  • Set custom priority levels: High, Medium, Low, or None
  • Use the "Not Today" feature to defer tasks

The AI learns from your adjustments to improve future prioritization suggestions.

Why are some of my tasks not in today's list?

Daily Reset intentionally limits your daily focus to 3-5 high-impact tasks to prevent overwhelm. Tasks might not appear in today's list if:

  • They're scheduled for a future date
  • They're less urgent/important than other tasks
  • You've already reached your daily task limit
  • They're marked as "Someday/Maybe" items

You can always view all tasks in the "All Tasks" section and manually add items to today's focus if needed.

Sync & Backup

How do I enable cloud sync?

To enable cloud sync:

  1. Create an account or sign in to your existing account
  2. Go to Settings > Cloud Sync
  3. Toggle "Enable Cloud Sync" to ON
  4. Choose whether to merge local tasks with cloud data or replace local data
  5. Wait for the initial sync to complete

Once enabled, your tasks will automatically sync across all devices where you're signed in. Cloud sync requires a premium subscription.

Is my data backed up automatically?

Yes! We provide multiple layers of backup:

  • Local Backup: Data is automatically backed up to your device's local storage
  • iCloud Backup: If enabled, your tasks are included in your device's iCloud backup
  • Cloud Sync: Premium users get real-time backup to our secure cloud servers
  • Data Export: You can manually export your data anytime from Settings

All backups are encrypted and follow industry-standard security practices.

What happens if I lose my device?

If you lose your device, your data recovery options depend on your backup setup:

  • With Cloud Sync: Simply sign in to your account on a new device and all your tasks will be restored
  • With iCloud Backup: Restore your device from iCloud backup to recover local data
  • No Backup: Unfortunately, local-only data cannot be recovered

We strongly recommend enabling cloud sync to protect your important task data.

Billing & Subscriptions

How does the free trial work?

Our free trial gives you full access to all premium features:

  • Duration: 7 days from when you first subscribe
  • Features: Unlimited tasks, cloud sync, advanced AI, all premium features
  • No Credit Card: Trial starts through the App Store, no credit card required initially
  • Auto-Renewal: Converts to paid subscription unless cancelled
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime during trial with no charge

You can cancel your trial anytime through your App Store subscription settings.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find "Daily Reset" and tap it
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"
  6. Confirm the cancellation

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You'll continue to have access to premium features until then.

Can I get a refund?

Refund requests are handled by Apple since all subscriptions are processed through the App Store:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  • Sign in with your Apple ID
  • Find your Daily Reset purchase
  • Select "Request a refund"
  • Choose your reason and submit the request

Apple typically responds to refund requests within 48 hours. Refunds are at Apple's discretion based on their terms and conditions.

What's the difference between monthly and annual plans?

Both plans include identical features, but differ in pricing and billing:

Monthly Plan ($2.99/month):
  • Billed monthly through the App Store
  • More flexibility to cancel
  • Total annual cost: $35.88
Annual Plan ($19.99/year):
  • Billed once per year

What iOS versions are supported?

Daily Reset requires iOS 18.2 or later. We support:

We regularly update the app to support the latest iOS features while maintaining compatibility with recent devices.

The app is crashing or running slowly. What should I do?

If you're experiencing performance issues, try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Force close and restart: Double-tap home button, swipe up on Daily Reset
  2. Restart your device: Hold power + volume buttons, slide to power off
  3. Update the app: Check App Store for available updates
  4. Update iOS: Go to Settings > General > Software Update
  5. Free up storage: Ensure you have at least 1GB of free space
  6. Reset app data: Settings > Reset App Data (this will clear local data)

Can I use Daily Reset offline?
